South Australians are invited to whet their appetites at the launch of Fiesta! 2007 at the Adelaide Showground Farmers Market on September 23.
Fiesta! ambassadors and local food icons Cheong Liew (The Grange Restaurant) and Peter Hogg (Chapel Hill Gourmet Retreat) will join the Chair of Fiesta!, Pip Forrester, to announce the program highlights and show market-goers how to cook up a storm using local produce from the Peninsula.
Peter Hogg will hold a cooking demonstration and the recipes will be available to the public, while Cheong Liew and Pip Forrester will be on hand to answer questions and queries from the audience.
In its four year history, Fiesta! has grown to now host 30 events in 29 different locations across the Fleurieu, showcasing the region’s fine produce from lamb, seafood and cheeses to olives, fresh seasonal vegetables and award winning wines in a celebration of all things vinous and culinary.
Forrester said the launch was a great chance for people to find out more about the events.
“The public launch gives foodies and families a chance to see what will be on offer during the whole month of October. Fiesta! is a unique food and wine experience that spans the total Fleurieu Peninsula. It successfully incorporates the diversity of the region through a combination of intimate dinners and larger community events for families and groups of friends who are looking for a unique and lively culinary experience.”
