Pizza chain Eagle Boys was crowned Australia’s Best Franchisor at last night’s American Express National Retailer of the Year Awards.

Eagle Boys MD Todd Clayton said the company had experienced considerable growth with over 180 franchises currently operating from stores as small as six square meters to drive-thrus, a concept pioneered and developed by Eagle Boys.

“I am delighted that Eagle Boys has won this award,” he said. “To receive recognition at such a prestigious award ceremony and on a national scale proves that our passion and drive to succeed in such a competitive market is truly paying off,” he said.

Some Eagle Boys franchisees have achieved sales growth of 14% within an extremely competitive industry during the last year.

Eagle Boys was founded 20 years ago in Albury, NSW. Now closing in on its 200th store, the chain collectively turns over more than $100 million annually.
